Question 7

Which of the following statements are true regarding dual AV nodal physiology?

A) Approximately 90% of people have dual AV nodal physiology.
B) An HV jump of more than 50ms between two consecutive pacing trains where the final stimulus is increased by no more than 20ms indicates dual physiology.
C) The AH interval in AVNRT will always be less than or equal to 70ms.
D) Dual AV nodal physiology is usually found in people with split personalities with each personality controlling one of the two pathways.
E) The rate of tachycardia in AVNRT will always be controlled by the refractory period of the fast pathway.
F) Dual AV nodal physiology is a definite indicator for slow pathway ablation.
G) Patients with dual AV node physiology will present with AV node reentry tachycardia between the ages of 30 to 50.
H) Once the slow pathway has been ablated, the patient will no longer have dual AV nodal physiology and will therefore will not have any more episodes of AVNRT.
